ARGOMM GROUP

History

The Argomm Group’s story began in Italy, in Villongo (Bergamo), when in 1981 Gianluigi Galizzi and his wife Chiara Elisa Argenti founded Argomm, a family business dedicated to the moulding of rubber articles.

In 2021 the Argomm Group celebrated its first 40 years of history: an industrial journey into the production of technical parts in elastomer, plastic and thermoplastic materials. The Group's investments, acquisitions and internationalisation of its operations made it possible to outline a path of growth through technological innovation, technical expertise and customer care.

1981

Argomm is founded. After the initial experience with Arga in 1979, the desire to become an company turned into reality with the founding of Argomm in Villongo (Bergamo) dedicated to the production of custom technical articles and rubber tyres. 

1983

Oritec is born in Credaro (Bergamo) dedicated to the production and marketing of O-rings for different applications and outlet markets.

1988

Acquisition of Fin-Mec, a Brescia-based company that provides mechanical finishing of processed products, enabling Argomm and Oritec to control and complete the production processes.

1989

New production site for Argomm which incorporates the existing Argomm and Oritec units. This is the first transition from a small business to an industrial company. The new headquarters in Villongo (Bergamo) covers an area of 7,000 square metres, has 60 employees and is equipped with 22 presses.

1994

Acquisition of KCS GmbH, a German company specialising in the marketing of elastomer products.

1995

Ar - Form is founded in Villongo (Bergamo) for the design and construction of moulds and equipment. An investment that guarantees the company's business expertise and optimises its technical skills.

1996

Armoltec SA is founded in Montcada (Barcelona) for the production and marketing of O-rings. The first internationalisation project is completed.

1997

Acquisition of Plastic Division and creation of an innovative production site in Sulbiate (Monza-Brianza). Argomm Group diversifies its market opportunities to include plastic, thermoplastic, two-component and liquid silicone products.

1999

Expansion in Spain and Italy. Armoltec Sur is inaugurated in La Carolina (Andalusia), specialising in the production of elastomer products. Investments also continue in Italy, with the Ar-Form company acquiring Sebino Stampi, a historic company in Franciacorta (Italy), dedicated to the design and manufacture of moulds.

2003

Armoltec grows with the opening of a new functional and state-of-the-art facility in Granollers Montmelò, near Barcelona, aimed at strengthening its presence in the Iberian market.

2005

Acquisition of Promag in Codogno, near Lodi, which specialises in the production and marketing of permanent plastic magnets. At the same time, the Group opens an office in Stuttgart, Germany dedicated to co-design activities and to the design of new products, in synergy with the respective customers.

2008

Argomm-Ro is born, the new production site in Timisoara (Romania) specialising in the production of technical parts in elastomer.

2013

Acquisition of RPS TECH in Thailand and the USA, a production plant in Bangkok with a logistics and commercial hub in Dayton (OH) and Neuwied (DE). The company specialises in the production and distribution of compounds and technical parts in elastomer and rubber-metal and rubber-plastic materials.

 

2018

Argomm lands in India with TVS Argomm, a joint venture with the TVS Group, specialised in the production of elastomer parts and aimed at the automotive and industrial sectors.

2021

Wilden s.r.l. joins the Argomm Group. Wilden Italy is merged, together with Plastic Division, into Wilden s.r.l. which marks its entry into the Argomm Group. In the 40th year since the founding of the parent company, the Argomm Group strengthens its expertise and production capacity in the plastics division.

2022

Argomm lands in China with Arap Sealing International, a joint venture with the Swiss multinational Angst+Pfister, specializing in the production and distribution of gaskets and components for Automotive-Industrial markets.
